About & Transparency
Who we are and how we work
KI PEYI NOU VLE is an independent civic platform for trustworthy information, national reflection, education, leadership accountability, and practical projects that help Haitians rebuild Haiti.
Last updated:
Mission and founding story
The platform exists so Haitians at home and in the diaspora can learn from history, understand the present with verified information, and participate in rebuilding through education, leadership, and measurable projects.
We publish in Haitian Creole, French, and English. Kreyòl is a primary experience, not a secondary translation.
Editorial independence and political neutrality
KI PEYI NOU VLE is not a political party, campaign committee, or government agency. We do not endorse candidates for office.
Content labeled as Verified Fact must cite named sources. Analysis is interpretation by the editorial team. Community perspectives are attributed to contributors. Proposals are recommended solutions that are not yet implemented.
Funding and sponsorship disclosure
The website is currently operated as a civic initiative. We will publish a public funding ledger when sponsorships, grants, or donations are accepted.
We do not accept funding that requires political endorsement, hidden influence over editorial decisions, or suppression of documented facts.

Research and citation standards
- Prefer primary documents, official statistics, and reputable institutional sources.
- Cite publisher, title, date, and link beside major claims whenever possible.
- Separate facts, analysis, community views, and proposals with clear labels.
- For election and leadership pages, show a visible last-updated date.
How leaders are selected and scored
Public scorecards on Up & Coming use citizen votes (1–5) on the categories below. They are a participatory accountability tool, not a legal judgment, endorsement, or final editorial ranking.
Editorial profiles still separate verified facts, analysis, community perspectives, and proposals. No candidate endorsement is implied by a high participatory score.

Evidence rules
- Prefer primary documents, institutional reports, and named media sources with dates.
- Large statistics without a publisher, date, or method are labeled unconfirmed or estimate.
- Living-person claims that cannot be sourced stay out of the “verified” bucket.
- Each scorecard voter is limited to one vote per criterion per browser; vote totals are public averages, not secret editorial scores.
How to challenge a result
